Joseph Pérez (14 January 1931 – 8 October 2020)[1] was a French historian. His works focused in Spanish history.[2]

Among his books, he examined the independence movements of Latin America; Ferdinand and Isabella, the Catholic Monarchs; Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, and Philip II of Spain.
