Joël Batteux

Joël Batteux (16 December 1943 – 10 January 2021) was a French politician. He was born in Vitré, France. He was a member of the Socialist Party and the Citizen and Republican Movement. From 1983 to 2014, Batteux was Mayor of Saint-Nazaire.

In 2008, Batteux was made a member of the Order of the British Empire.[1]

Batteux died on 10 January 2021 from surgery-related problems in Paris at the age of 77.[2]
