Lasthenia kunthii (vernacular name ranca)[1][2]) is a herb of Central Chile, first gathered in Rancagua.
It lives in flooded places, for example lagoons and grasslands with large amounts of salt. It lives in Chile, mostly between Coquimbo and Valdivia, but people have also seen it in Ultima Esperanza (Magallanes Region[3]) and in the provinces of Chubut and Río Negro, Argentina.
