Laura Syril Friedman[1] (born December 3, 1966) is an American politician and former movie producer who is the member of the U.S. House of Representatives for California's 30th congressional district since 2025. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Before, Friedman was a member of the California State Assembly since 2016. Friedman was a member of the Glendale City Council from 2009 to 2016.[2] She was also Mayor of Glendale from 2011 to 2012.[3]
Friedman also helped write the pro-housing bill to stop minimum parking requirements for housing mass transit stations.[4] She is a progressive.[5]
