Mark Andrews (born September 6, 1995) is an American football tight end. He plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL).

He was recruited out of Desert Mountain High School as a four-star recruit by both ESPN and Rivals.com. While at Desert Mountain, Andrews played the wide receiver position.[1][2]

Andrews started his career by playing college football at Oklahoma.[3] In 2017, Andrews was voted as the most outstanding tight end in college football and was awarded the John Mackey Award.[4]

On January 4, 2018, Andrews announced that he was going to enter the 2018 NFL Draft.[5]

Baltimore Ravens

On April 27, 2018, the Baltimore Ravens drafted Andrews with the 86th pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.[6] On June 15, Andrews agreed to a four-year, $3.45 million rookie contract with a signing bonus of $836,660.[7]

On September 10, Andrews would make his NFL debut with the Ravens in a 47–3 win against the Buffalo Bills. In the game, he had 31 yards off three receptions.[8] Andrews would score his first touchdown in a 23–34 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on September 13.[9]

In 2019, Andrews would finish the season with 64 receptions for 852 receiving yards and ten receiving touchdowns. During the season, he would lead the league among tight ends in ten receiving touchdowns. He would also be named to his first Pro Bowl.[10]

On September 6, 2021, Andrews would sign a four-year, $56 million contract extension with the Ravens with $37.6 million guaranteed.[11]

On a October 11 overtime win against the Indianapolis Colts, Andrews would set career-highs in receptions with 11 of 13 for 147 yards, as well as, catching two touchdowns and was successful on two two-point conversion receptions.[12] At the end of the season, Andrews would named to his second Pro Bowl and would also be named as a First-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.[13][14]

Personal life

Andrews has Type 1 diabetes and uses an insulin pump.[15]
