Robert Cohan

Sir Robert Paul Cohan CBE (27 March 1925 – January 2021) was an American-born British dancer and choreographer. He was the founding artistic director of The Place, London Contemporary Dance School, and London Contemporary Dance Theatre (LCDT), which he directed for 20 years.[1] He was born in New York City. He worked with Martha Graham.[2]

He was knighted in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to dance.[3]

Cohan died in January 2021, aged 95.[4]
