Robert Sam Anson (March 12, 1945 – November 2, 2020) was an American journalist and author.[1] He was known for his work as an editor to Vanity Fair for over 20 years.[2]

He also wrote for other American magazines such as Esquire, Life, and The Atlantic.[3]

Anson died at his home in Rexford, New York on November 2, 2020 from dementia-related problems, aged 75.[4]
