Roman Pindel (born 18 November 1958)[1] is a Polish Roman Catholic Bishop. He has been the Bishop of Bielsko-Żywiec since 2014.
Roman Pindel was born on 18 November 1958 in Oświęcim, Poland. He became a priest on 22 May 1983.[1]
In 2014, Pope Francis made him the Bishop of Bielsko-Żywiec.[1]
In 2021, the State Commission on Pedophilia reported Bishop Pindel to the prosecutor. They accused him of not telling the police about child sexual abuse in his diocese. The abuse was done by a priest in the 1980s. The prosecutor did not start an investigation. They said there was no legal duty to report such crimes at that time.[2][3][4]
