Saado Ali Warsame (Somali: Saado Cali Warsame, Arabic: سادو علي ورسمه; 1950 – 23 July 2014) was a Somali singer-songwriter and politician. She served as a member of the Federal Parliament of Somalia from August 2012 until her assassination.
Death
[change | change source]On 23 July 2014, Warsame and her driver were shot to death by unknown assailants in Mogadishu as she was driving to the hotel.[1] Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.[2][3]
