Sporolactobacillus is a genus of bacteria. The species produce lactic acid: They are lactic acid bacteria (LAB).[1] The cells are rods. They appear single or in pairs. Rarely they make short chains. They can form Endospores which are resistant to temperature of 80 °C for 10 min.[1] Sporolactobacillus is gram-positive and belong to the Firmicutes.
