The Hound of the Baskervilles (1982) is a British television programme. It was directed by Peter Duguid and starred Tom Baker as Sherlock Holmes and Terence Rigby as Doctor Watson. It is based on Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound of the Baskervilles.
The opinions of viewers at the time was divided[1] The four-part serial aired in 1982,[1] and it has not done better over time.[2][3] Baker himself came to think of his performance as a failure.[4]
