Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is a skateboarding video game. It was published by Activision and was developed by Robomodo.[1] It is a remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Pro Skater 2. If the DLC was bought, it also included a remake of Pro Skater 3.
It was released on July 18, 2012 for the Xbox 360, August 28, 2012 for the PlayStation 3, and September 18, 2012 for Windows.[2][3][4] The game was taken off Steam and other platforms on July 17, 2017.[5]
Like in the original games and most games in the series, the player can do skateboarding tricks and grinds to boost their score while skating around the levels. There are also objectives in the game such as getting a certain amount of score from tricks, collecting letters that spell out SKATE, and collecting secret DVDs.[6]
Both James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo of Metallica are playable characters that can be unlocked in the game.[7]
The game was given mixed reviews by game critics. Critics said that they liked the online mode and the soundtrack. However, they did not like that there wasn't modes such as the park creator and the ability to play multiplayer in splitscreen.[8][9][10]
