Westerhout 49-2 is a star in Westerhout 49 and is the most massive known star with 250 solar masses, and is the largest star in the cluster with 55.29 solar radii. Westerhout 49-2, along with two other members of the cluster Westerhout 49-1 and Westerhout 49-12 are bright X-ray sources. This probably means that they are massive binary stars with colliding stellar winds.[1]
