EE Leonis är en BY Draconis-variabel, med skenbar magnitud som varierar mellan 11,64 och 11,70. Förändringarna i ljusstyrkan beror på stjärnfläckar och kromosfärisk aktivitet i kombination med stjärnans rotation.[4]
