இந்தியா ஹவுஸ் கட்டிடம், வடக்கு இலண்டன்


இந்தியா ஹவுஸ் (India House) பிரித்தானியப் பேரரசின் தலைநகரமான இலண்டனில் கல்வி பயிலும் இந்திய மாணவர்கள் தங்குமிடமாகவும் மற்றும் இந்திய விடுதலை இயக்கம் தொடர்பாக ஒன்று கூடி விவாதிக்கும் இடமாகவும் விளங்கியது. இது 1905 முதல் 1910 வரை வடக்கு இலண்டனின் குரோம்வெல் பகுதியின் ஹைகேட் பகுதியில் இயங்கியது. இந்தியா ஹவுசை நிறுவியவர் குஜராத்தின், மாண்டவியில் பிறந்த சியாம்ஜி கிருஷ்ண வர்மா என்ற வழக்கறிஞர் ஆவார்.[1] மேலும் இவ்விடுதியை மிதவாத, தீவிரவாத இந்திய அரசியல்வாதிகளும் மற்றும் விநாயக் தாமோதர் சாவர்க்கர், வ. வே. சுப்பிரமணியம் போன்ற இந்தியப் புரட்சியாளர்களும் பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டனர்.

இந்தியா ஹவுசுடன் தொடர்புடைய மதன் லால் திங்கரா என்ற இந்தியப் புரட்சியாளர், இலண்டனில் வாழும், இந்தியாவிற்கான பிரித்தானிய அமைச்சர் வில்லியம் ஹட் கர்சன் வைலியை படுகொலை செய்தார். இக்கொலையை விசாரணை செய்த இலண்டன் காவல் துறை, கொலையில் இந்திய ஹவுசின் பங்களிப்பு மற்றும் கொலை செய்தவர் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டதால், இந்தியா ஹவுசை பிரித்தானிய அரசு மூட ஆனையிட்டது.
