సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఘాట్

సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఘాట్ వారణాసిలో దక్షిణ కొసన ఉన్న ఘాట్. వారణాసి లోని అతిపెద్ద ఘాట్ ఇదే.[1] ఇది రవిదాసీలకు ఇది ఒక ముఖ్యమైన మతపరమైన ప్రదేశంగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. సంత్ రవిదాస్ స్మారక్ పార్క్ అనే పేరున్న 25 ఎకరాల ఉద్యానవనం ఇక్కడ ఉంది.[2][3][4]

చరిత్ర

2008 ఫిబ్రవరిలో [5] [6] సన్యాసి 631వ జన్మదినోత్సవం సందర్భంగా సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఆలయంలో బంగారు పల్లకిలో జరిపిన శోభా యాత్ర సందర్భంగా రవిదాస్ ఘాట్‌ నిర్మాణాన్ని ప్రకటించారు.[7] 2009లో ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాయావతి దీన్ని ప్రారంభించింది.[8][9]

వారణాసి లోని శ్రీ గురు రవిదాస్ జనమ్ ఆస్థాన్ నుండి సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఘాట్ దాదాపు 13 నిమిషాల ప్రయాణంలో ఉంది.[10]


దేవ దీపావళి, గంగా మహోత్సవ్ వంటి పండుగల సమయంలో వినోదం కోసం ప్రజలు తరచుగా సందర్శించే ఘాట్‌లలో సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఘాట్ ఒకటి.[11][12]

సంత్ రవిదాస్ ఘాట్‌లో పర్యాటక ఆకర్షణగా ప్రతిపాదిత హీలియం బెలూన్ రైడ్ సౌకర్యం ఉంది.[13]
