達維爾灣

達維爾灣嘅衛星影像（1980年7月27號）

達維爾灣（粵拼：daat6 wai4 yi5 waan1，Darvel Bay），又叫拉哈達圖灣（粵拼：laai1 ha1 daat6 tou4 waan1，Lahad Datu Bay）係一個喺馬來西亞沙巴東面嘅彎曲大海灣。佢亦係婆羅洲東海岸最大嘅半封閉海灣，面向西里伯斯海。行政上，達維爾灣喺斗湖省入面，北面係拿篤，中間係北幹古那（英文：Kunak），海灣南面係仙本那。

地理

達維爾灣大部分地方係紅樹林沼澤[1]。海灣入面有好多島嶼，最大嘅島係Timbun Mata Island（英文：Timbun Mata Island），佢喺海岸南面附近。

歷史

達維爾灣周邊地區已經有超過20,000年歷史[2]。大陸同島上西嘅石灰岩洞穴畀人用嚟做史前墓葬[2]。

達維爾灣直到19世紀尾一直係海盜嘅傳統出沒地方[3]。當中，最出名嘅海盜叫Datu Kudunding[4]。英國人喺拿篤區經營達維爾灣煙草種植園有限公司 (Darvel Bay Tobacco Plantations Ltd)，呢間公司喺 H. M. Lomas 嘅紀錄片「Urban Bioscope Expedition through Borneo」入面得到永生[5]。
