沙普利陨石坑(Shapley)是月球正面位于危海南侧边沿的一座小撞击坑，其名称取自美国天文学家哈罗·沙普利(1885年-1972年)，1973年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

描述

该陨坑最邻近的是西侧的特巴特陨石坑和东南的戴里陨石坑，东南偏东方则是更大的费尔米库斯陨石坑^[1]。该陨坑的中心月面坐标为9°21′N 56°50′E / 9.35°N 56.83°E / 9.35; 56.83，直径24.82公里^[2]，深度约1897米^[3]。

沙普利陨石坑外观近似圆形，但从地球上看因透视作用而略显椭圆形。陨坑南半侧内壁较宽，外侧坑壁连接了一道伸向南面而后又折转东南的山脊。陨坑侧壁平均高出周边地形850米^[4]，内部容积约为396.8公里³^[4]。坑内地表呈现出与相邻月海类似的幽暗色调，其反照率低于南面的地形，坑底中心附近矗立着一座低矮的中央峰。

在1973年国际天文学联合会重新更名前，该陨坑曾被指名为卫星坑"皮卡德 H"。
