Hafex (born Arif Abdullayev; October 10, 1995) is an Azerbaijani multi-genre and multi-platinum music producer, DJ and artist. He is known for blending Deep House, Chill Deep and modern electronic dance elements with melodic sensibilities and cultural influences. His works have accumulated more than 300 million streams across platforms, with several releases charting internationally and circulating in DJ sets worldwide.

Early life

Arif Abdullayev was born on October 10, 1995, in Baku, Azerbaijan. He began producing music at a young age and adopted the stage name Hafex as he moved into electronic music production and international releases.

Career

Hafex gained recognition through collaborations with international labels, including Ultra Music, Cat Music, Sony Music and LoudKult.[1] His works span multiple subgenres of electronic music, particularly deep house, chill deep and dance.

In 2015, one of his tracks was performed during the closing ceremony of the inaugural European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan, introducing his sound to a wider audience.[2]

Intihask and streaming success

In 2020, Hafex released the single "Intihask". The track achieved significant viral traction, surpassing five million streams across digital platforms and later accumulating more than 113 million views on YouTube.[3] It has also generated more than 3 million Shazam recognitions.

International collaborations

Hafex has worked with artists from France, Greece, the United States and other countries. In 2025, he collaborated with Romanian producer Edward Maya on the joint release "Konto", which received notable media coverage in Azerbaijan and abroad.[4][5]
