YouTube career

[edit]

Ever since he was little he always had a passion for creating videos. He used to film short funny skits with his friends for fun. One day he discovered YouTube and he immediately got hooked on watching various foreign YouTubers such as PewDiePie ,KSI and SmoshIn 2011 he noticed that there were a lot of Greek people making videos on the site, so he decided to start uploading too.[4]

He started by making several skits, comedy and QnA videos. In 2014 he started one of his most popular series, Stamatiste To Tragoudi[5] (English:Stop The Song) where he reacted to several clips of people singing songs and to music videos in general, making several jokes and parody skits about them. In September 2016 he started another one of his main series, Mano Mathe Mou (English: Manos Teach Me), where he would satirically teach his fans stuff that they asked from the comments.[6][7] In October 2016 he published a video where he said that he got a pug puppy, something that he always wanted to do as he really loved dogs, especially that breed.[8] He named him Rocky. In many of his videos Manos also included a character played by himself, Ellinida Mana (English:Greek Mother), which is supposed to be his mother. This character is always angry at her son and tends to be excessive for very simple stuff, satirizing the stereotype of the average Greek mother.[4][9][10] In January 2019 he started the series Fast Food vs Spitiko (English:Fast Food vs Homemade) where he would order a fast-food dish and then challenge himself to cook it on time before the delivery arrives.[11] In December 2019 he released a video where he reacts to several Life Hack videos sent by his fans and tests them by himself to see if they are truly helpful[12]. This eventually turned into another series on his channel.[13]

He had before stated that he wanted to dedicate more time into his content for quality reasons.[4]

In 2020 he reached 1.000.000 subscribers, and to celebrate that achievement he released a special video on August.[14] In October 2021 he released his last video before eventually dissapearing from YouTube.[15][16][7]

On January 25, 2023 he made a comeback on the platform with a new episode of Mano Mathe Mou[17]. He said where he had been and why he dissapeared for so long. He spoke about the lack of inspiration that overwhelmed him and brought him to a dead end. As he himself emphasized, he had no idea what he wanted to do, he felt lost and was forced to take a long break from YouTube. He also talked about his terrible and unhealthy lifestyle he had for many years. The fact that he was overweight,, that he barely exercised and socialized, and the bad habits he had incorporated in his lfe, such as eating excessive amounts of fast-food. He explained how much this break he took helped him change and improve himself. He started exercising and lost a lot of weight, he stopped all of the bad habits he had and he improved his mental health. His fans supported him and congratulated him with positive comments.[16][7][18][19]

After that video he started making content again. He made several new episodes in many of his series such as Fast Food vs Spitiko, Mano Mathe Mou and Life Hacks.

Music

[edit]

He has made a lot of comedy and parody songs. Most of them have exceeded 1 million views.[20]

In April 2016 he released his first parody song, Είμαι Swag (English: I'm Swag), which got over 4 million views.[21]

In November 2016 he released one of his most popular parody songs, Thelo Na Fao (English:I Want to Eat), which now has over 8 million views.[22][23] He made many songs afterwards, such as Pitogyro[24], Kalokairi[25] and Pagoto Karamela[26]

In June 2019 he released the song Paralia, which became his most popular song.[2][27] It is currently his most viewed video with over over 32 million views.

Television

[edit]

In June 2016 he was invited on the tv show "Bravo Roula" by the famous Greek tv presenter Roula Koromila on Epsilon Channel where she got a small interview to him.[10]

In April 2017 he participated in the TV music contest X Factor (Greece) with his own song Thelo Na Fao[28][2][29][23]
