Collage

[edit]

Why is there a collage already? Aren't we supposed to wait til the end of the decade? Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:03, 31 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ai

[edit]

Why do they keep editing ai out of the main collage and of the paragraph on technology. It is by far the biggest technological and cultural (not related to politics or natural disasters) of this decade. It is also a new theme to the 2020s, all of the topics on the technology section in the summary page are things from the 2010s. ~2025-32955-72 (talk) 01:12, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

There does appear to be a strong anti-AI bias in this article. (This is coming from someone who does not like AI, in any capacity). But it would be naive to deny the impact it has made and will continue to make.
Take the closing sentence of the intro: "The growth of cryptocurrencies and AI led to the cryptocurrency bubble and AI bubble, with both involved in a circular flow of investments believed to be artificially significantly inflating their actual values."
But even the Wikipedia article for "AI bubble" itself labels it only as a theory. ~2025-31543-74 (talk) 09:20, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It’s ridiculous. This is supposed to be a non biased article that encapsulates the ethos of the decade. AI is top 5 biggest topics for the 2020s, and to ignore it is ridiculous and just plain misinformation. Comparing it to crypto is insane, considering the impact AI is having in education, entertainment, work, and basically most areas of life. The article seemed to represent the impact of AI better a few weeks back, however I don’t know who keeps making changes that have led to this. ~2025-32955-72 (talk) 22:33, 12 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It appears the change was made by user Glaucnor on 6 Nov 2025 at 02:22. I think maybe this article should be given a status of semi-protection, because it discusses topics such as this one that are controversial in the general public opinion. Polligone (talk) 17:31, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

End of free trade

[edit]

The article makes a mention to Trump's tarriffs, saying that the mark the end of free trade. Per WP:TDS, WP:10YEARS and WP:CRYSTAL, I believe this claim is dubious at best and opinionated at worst and for that I have marked it as dubious, since, as long as I am aware, global (free) trade is still ongoing despite Trump's best efforts. Agreed. To call this the "end of free trade" is certainly dubious, and very America-centric. Global free trade is going just fine. Polligone (talk) 23:41, 26 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
