DLCDLC (disambiguation)DLC (disambiguation) – To make DLC a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT to Downloadable content. It's the clear primary topic from pageviews and WikiNav, and DLC is probably the common name for downloadable content anyway, but that's a separate issue. Support; this is clearly the common meaning of the initialism. Thanks, 1isall (he/him) (talk | contribs) 16:03, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Per WP:DPT, let's have a look at some standard statistics.
With 459 views at DLC, we could identify 103 clicks to the proposed primary topic. There were another 49 identifiable clicks, and 51 filtered. That is not actually an indicator of there being a primary topic, because it's roughly 50 : 50 with clicks, and possibly only ~22% of views.
We see a similar picture, the proposed item is at the top, but followed by a number of other articles with significant reader interest.
I think a more coherent argument would be needed to override the ambiguity seen in statistics. (Oppose) --Joy (talk) 22:23, 27 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
There is no instance of the term "DLC" in either Insurance policy, Library of Congress, or Loughborough University; I've removed them from the dabpage per WP:DABMENTION.
It's also quite likely that most of the views at the CAN bus article are unrelated to "DLC". The Data Length Code redirect has had 20 clicks all year. 162 etc. (talk) 08:10, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. I ignored all of those when assessing the mass views output.
The issue is that Downloadable content's 588 / day is at the top, but not substantially larger than Dioxin-like compounds' 334 / day plus Diamond-like carbon's 145 / day plus Democratic Leadership Council's 81 / day, and so forth. --Joy (talk) 08:40, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
