Please remove far-right label on position

[edit]

Having far-right members doesn't make you a de-facto extreme right party, Tillbrook has repeatedly refuted this so please remove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harry-Oscar 1812 (talkcontribs) 19:36, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He may have "repeatedly refuted this", but Wikipedia is based on detail from reliable sources, not Tilbrook. Incidentally, far right is not synonymous with extreme right and the article does not claim the latter. Emeraude (talk) 10:38, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hardly reliable, sources can be wrong you do realise. If even the BBC are willing to call him Right-wing and not far-right then it should just be left as such, stupid excuse from source to label it as a far-right party. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harry-Oscar 1812 (talkcontribs) 21:03, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever their status we work with them ----Snowded TALK 00:56, 22 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Daily Mail is a newspaper, if it prints a retraction (albeit barbed that they don't think they are) then at least respect it has been through IPSO the press complaints body. You are saying they want an Independent England, when their 2016 Manifesto (a political publication) says otherwise. You do not need other sources for a manifesto. Don't be lazy, there probably are out there. Also HopeNotHate are an unreliable source, given they had Neil Humphrey as a an election Con of being English Democrat, when he registered a new party English Independence, stood against them in Batley & Spen, and cost them their deposit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.211.131.51 (talk) 07:24, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The question of theMail as a reliable source has been discussed on wikipedia and I'm afraid we work from third party resources. Your talk page has links to material that will give you the chance to read up on how wikipedia works ----Snowded TALK 22:38, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect information

[edit]

The article is factually incorrect and has the details on independence and a federal system the wrong way round, the article states: "...the party previously called for England to become an independent state, thus leaving the United Kingdom. Since 2016, it has instead called only for the creation of a devolved English Parliament within a federal UK." it should state: "...the party previously called for the creation of a devolved English Parliament within a federal UK. since 2016, it now calls for England to become an independent state, thus leaving the United Kingdom." 31.54.105.2 (talk) 10:00, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

RFC on far-right

[edit]

Hi DanielRigal, what RFC are you referring to? Helper201 (talk) 21:06, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Talk:English_Democrats/Archive_2#RfC:_Far_right. Yes, I know it's quite old but I don't see any discussion about overturning it. --DanielRigal (talk) 21:20, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It does seem odd to use an RFC from 9 years ago to remove a cited position. WP:AGEMATTERS. Helper201 (talk) 21:45, 1 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
