Engines used according to Edward Patterson
[edit]This article claims that the BUT railcars were powered by a pair of BUT A320 engines, but is unsourced. However, Edward M. Patterson made this statement in The Great Northern Railway (Ireland):
"...larger AEC diesel engines were used than in the earlier railcars..."[1]
Either this implies that the BUTs used Associated Equipment Company-branded engines, or Patterson was meant to say that the engines were of the British United Traction brand, but made a typographical error.
