I have added a screenshot of the OS.
[edit]I have added it to the quick facts. Landon1999 (talk) 00:08, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- I have removed it because it clearly is not a public domain image, and you clearly do not hold the copyright for it. Please add appropriate non-free image information to the file before adding it back to this article. GSK (talk • edits) 00:49, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
Services vs. apps
[edit]How should we structure the services and apps sections?
Apple Music, Maps, and Wallet are all “services” but are also included apps. Gibson (talk) 04:33, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- Apple Music is an online service offered by Apple; it runs on the servers Apple have set up. Music (app) is an application that, in addition to playing music in your local library, can stream music from Apple Music. There are other ways to access Apple Music than to use the Music app.
- Apple Maps is an online service offered by Apple; it runs on the servers Apple have set up. Maps is an application that displays maps from that service. Apple Maps can also be used from a Web browser. Guy Harris (talk) 17:57, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- For example, iOS 26 § Apple Music should be renamed "Music", refer to Music (app), and distinguish "this is a feature solely handled by the app, so it might even work with stored music", "this is a feature solely handled by the Apple Music server, so it might even work with clients other than Apple's Music app", and "this feature involves both". That might require sources written by people who understand said distinction. Guy Harris (talk) 20:39, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
- iOS 26 § Maps discusses the app - for example, it speaks of "on-device intelligence", so that's code in the Maps app, not code on the Apple Maps servers - and speaks of a new "Visited Places" menu, which is at least in part, and possibly in whose, an app feature. Unfortunately, there's no page for the app, separate from a page for the service. Guy Harris (talk) 20:42, 10 June 2025 (UTC)

Main image
[edit]Can the screenshot of iOS 26 up there have a higher resolution please? Like, a clearer image. Thanks. Daniel20111 (talk) 10:30, 3 August 2025 (UTC)
'Release history' section
[edit]Please be aware that Wikipedia is not for complete logs of software updates, and this section is probably too exhaustive as it is. Per WP:NOTCHANGELOG: “Consider a summary of development instead.” — HTGS (talk) 05:08, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
Images not clear
[edit]Please try to fix the images of iOS 26 logo and the screenshot. The resolution is too low. 2405:201:4009:D005:D9D4:EEC1:B336:C88 (talk) 18:34, 11 September 2025 (UTC)
