[edit]Last Kmart pharmacy closed as per this link. Im unable to edit so can someone with an account, make this edit? https://newsfeed.wtjx.org/2025-09-18/kmart-pharmacy-in-tutu-park-mall-on-st-thomas-closes-customers-and-staff-transition-to-walgreens 174.213.162.28 (talk) 21:07, 23 September 2025 (UTC)
- I honestly don't see a reason as to include this in the main article, so I won't edit. Sorry, Nihilist2345 (talk) 16:11, 24 December 2025 (UTC)

This edit is incorrect and should either be reverted outright or at the very least corrected.
For one, the reference doesn't say anywhere that the store is in Christiansted so the editor is adding content that is not supported by the source.
Secondly, the page makes it clear that the last Kmart store in St.Croix closed and the last remaining store in the USVI is in St.Thomas. Christiansted is in St.Croix, not in St.Thomas. Therefore the edit erroneous, contradicts what's in the body of the article and is not helpful or an inprovement. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 01:46, 4 December 2025 (UTC) ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 01:46, 4 December 2025 (UTC)

In the last paragraph of the 2019–present: New management and further store closings section, change the sentence "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since its debut on June 30, 1993" so that it read instead "Two years before, the retailer had closed another St-Croix store in Frederiksted, in a shopping mall that had Kmart as a tenant since 1993".
A printed article from the Miami Herald on July 10, 1993 indicates that the Frederiksted store in the Virgin Islands was slated to open in September 1993. So by removing the exact date in the sentence and just sticking to the year, this allows to give an information that is accurate while still remaining faithful to the Virgin Islands Consortium source on the Wikipedia article. Note that the "June 30" mention in the Virgin Islands Consortium source does not come from the journalist but from the owner of shopping mall. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 07:57, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- Could you provide the article you’re referring to that says they opened in September? Slomo666 (talk) 11:23, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
- But this is besides the point. The edit request is not about adding the Miami Herald source to the article or replacing June 30 for September. The request is simply about removing a very small part of the sentence while keeping the rest of the phrase and the current source intact. Even if the June 30 date would have been correct, it is irrelevant to the rest of the paragraph anyway. The 1993 year can stay however. ~2025-28056-21 (talk) 13:31, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
Done No problem. I just need RS as edit requests must be necessary, and I think (after reading the provided source) your request meets that bar. Happy editing, Slomo666 (talk) 13:55, 8 December 2025 (UTC)

Kmart Express
[edit]there are actually two seperate inititives named Kmart Express under Subsidaries, the second mall Kmart Express should also be included. ~2026-19724-5 (talk) 09:17, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- The mall Kmart was just a single Kmart at Plaza Carolina, correct? --Super Goku V (talk) 10:15, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
- Absolutely. Please add it. ~2026-26194-0 (talk) 03:25, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
- I will currently decline given that it is a single location and that it is covered under the Operations in Puerto Rico sub-section with the text:
In 2011, the Kmart chain opened a new smaller store concept at 8,000 square-feet named "Kmart Express" at the Plaza Carolina shopping mall in Carolina, this was short lived.
Though, if someone else does believe that it should be done, then I am fine with that. --Super Goku V (talk) 06:42, 13 January 2026 (UTC)- I saw that, but I’d prefer it to be centralized with the subsidiaries as Kmart Dental and KWash were included, it should be added as a little ender to the Kmart Express Gas chain or seperate ~2026-26194-0 (talk) 03:43, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
