Lisbon 2024 august 26th earthquake

[edit]

The damaging earthquake of 2024 that struck 2 days ago of this being published. I give all my sympathy to those who where affected and killed Mcflurry2212 (talk) 15:43, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It was a minor earthquake, nothing of note. No one was killed and no damages reported. It's only getting news because its been a while since Lisbon had an earthquake in general, but this one is insignificant. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 16:29, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It may be minor but it can cause minor damage and may injure some people. Mcflurry2212 (talk) 19:52, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I still have all my kindest regards to those who have been effected Mcflurry2212 (talk) 19:53, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Except no damage or injuries have been reported - there is literally nothing that happened. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 14:21, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lisbon is not the 2nd oldest capital in Europe by any definition

[edit]

The CIA factbook cited here does not even seem to mention anything remotely related to the text to which it is attached, "... and the second-oldest European capital city (after Athens), predating other modern European capitals by centuries"

Official long name citation?

[edit]

Hello, I'm not able to verify (and have honestly never heard of) the long "official" name stated in this page. I've been able to find a source for it, but it seems to merely be the motto for the coat of arms of the city: https://www.lisboa.pt/municipio/camara-municipal/simbolos-protocolares (in portuguese).
