Request removal of "close connection" template.
[edit]Hello,
I would like to ask for the removal of the “close connection” template currently at the top of this article. I have revised the article to reflect a neutral point of view. I removed promotional wording like “renowned,” and the lead sentence now uses neutral language.
All statements now include reliable, independent sources (Durrah Magazine, ItsLiquid, The Best Address, EIN News). The mention of The Best Address has also been corrected to show the proper publication date (13 June 2021).
I think the article now meets the Biographies of Living Persons (BLP) policy and the guidelines for a neutral point of view. I welcome feedback from other editors, but I kindly request that the template be reviewed and removed if it is appropriate.
Thank you. CalligrapgyExpert (talk) 07:10, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- You should not have removed the template yourself. And you especially should not have done it the the 2nd time, after you'd been warned about minor edits [1]. Nor should @VisualArtEditor have done without an explanation.SMasonGarrison 21:50, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. I understand I should not remove the template myself.
- I have now revised the article again to improve neutrality and sourcing:
- Removed broad/unsourced claims (e.g., “shown and collected around the world”).
- Reworded to attribution-based language (“has been described…”).
- Added independent coverage: Gulf Today (12 Nov 2025) mentioning a live calligraphy presentation at Art Smiley Gallery’s “Abstract Universe” in Dubai.
- Added documentation for “Contemporary Venice – 13th Edition” via the official press release PDF listing me among the selected artists.
- Could an uninvolved editor please review the current version and remove the close-connection/COI template if it’s no longer applicable? Thank you. ArtMasterMind (talk) 20:39, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Following up: could an uninvolved editor please review the current version and advise whether the close-connection/COI template can be removed, or what else is needed? Thank you. ArtMasterMind (talk) 10:48, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- Who ever reviews the page as part of the new page patrol can do that. SMasonGarrison 13:29, 23 January 2026 (UTC)

- Hello! I have reviewed your article, and your sources and I believe that it is okay to remove the tag. However, due to the history of this article, I would like a second opinion before I remove the tag. Please do not use the help tools to request help regarding your COI request. While I understand its frustrating to wait, it's unfair to many of the people waiting if you skip them. If you have any question feel free to reply to me. Please refrain from removing the COI tag yourself. Thank you! Mustbeotherwise (talk) 07:52, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time to review this. I understand and won’t remove the template myself.
- If a second opinion is needed due to the page history, I’m happy to wait—please let me know the best place/process for that review (or if you’d prefer to ping another uninvolved editor here). Thanks again. ArtMasterMind (talk) 13:15, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
- @ArtMasterMind Thank you for being understanding. I have already tagged this talk page with a COI edit request. This means that when they have time, a separate volunteer will independently review the article. As frustrating as it is, the best thing to do now is wait. It generally takes at least a couple months for COI edit requests to be reviewed. In the meantime, if you have any other issues concerning the article, feel free to access the resources in WP:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. I hope this has been helpful and thank you for your understanding! - Otherwise (Talk?) 17:47, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
