Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2025 Scottish television debuts
[edit]
A tag has been placed on Category:2025 Scottish television debuts indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 23:14, 24 August 2025 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hi Goodreg3. Thank you for your work on Joe Griffin (civil servant). Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for creating this biography for the most senior civil servant in Scotland. Well-warranted. My main concern relates to tone - it reads more like a hagiography than a history; remember WP:NPOV.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Klbrain (talk) 21:06, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
- @Klbrain: Thank you for taking the time to review the page. I am, however, struggling to understand your reasoning for describing the page as a hagiography? Goodreg3 (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2025 (UTC)
- Selective comments such as 'devoted public service and leadership', 'invaluable advice', 'brings a wealth of experience to this role', 'distinguished career ' and 'unyielding focus on delivering'. The point is that these are all pronouncement by politicians on a a civil servant leaving or entering a position - they are meant for pitch or spin, not an objective dispationate analysis. So, the content is correct, but also not from a neutral point of view. See WP:PUFFERY. Klbrain (talk) 12:52, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Scottish Reserve Bank
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Scottish Reserve Bank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dgp4004 (talk) 21:39, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Sharon Rooney.jpeg
[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:Sharon Rooney.jpeg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sophisticatedevening(talk) 21:26, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

AI-generated text
[edit]
Please stop. If you continue to unconstructively edit Wikipedia using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology), as you did at Songs of Mass Destruction, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 02:54, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- I would dispute your accusations of "unconstructively" editing. I see you have taken the time to revert large amounts of text, such as at Leon Jackson, on the basis of "Ai technology" but would like to highlight that you are wrong in this regards (along with a few other instances). Goodreg3 (talk) 19:28, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- Two of your additions were tagged as AI-generated at the beginning of October.[1][2] They carried the HTML tag "source=chatgpt.com", making obvious the connexion. Since then, you have somewhat refined your usage of ChatGPT by removing such tags, but you have continued to allow excessive puffery, needless repetition and hallucinations to creep into your page expansions. The signs of LLM-assisted editing are very much apparent in your recent work.
- You have a splendid history of helping to build Wikipedia. I hope you begin to realise that using AI as you have been these past two months is not good for the encyclopedia. You have a fine brain and a fine grasp of the English language. Without using AI your work here has been very positive. Please reconsider your recent stance on LLM tools. Binksternet (talk) 21:02, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- After seeing your July work on Les McKeown, I must conclude that you have been using LLM tools prior to October. Your expansion text is full of "success" this and "success" that, and it contains woeful repetition. Both of these are indicators of AI-generated text. Binksternet (talk) 00:51, 28 December 2025 (UTC)
- Regarding Les McKeown, I can confirm that absolutely no AI generated text was used in July. I understand why you may arrive at such conclusion with a great deal of emphasis on successes, but be assured in the case of Les McKeown, no LLM programmes were used at all. That said, thank you for the recognition of previous edits. I won't lie, recently I have engaged in LLM tools in order to provide quick expansions and references for articles. That was my mistake, lesson learned and will return to writing direct and seeking own sources. Goodreg3 (talk) 21:39, 30 December 2025 (UTC)

Final warning
[edit]As written in the edit summary of this diff "I demand that this user stops writing anything on my page". Woovee (talk) 22:36, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- You can demand all you want, but it does not distract from the fact you are engaging in continuous edit warring and making un-constructive and disruptive edits. My guess is, the reason you "demand that this user stops writing anything on my page" is that you don't want your disruptive edits flagging up resulting in another block (of which you have had a few). So, I am not the one which needs a "final warning", I feel it might be you. Also, users are free to add to a users talk page in attempts to resolve edit conflicts, in which this was the case. Therefore, you cannot simply demand I stop adding to your talk page in attempts to resolve your disruptive edits. Goodreg3 (talk) 22:39, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Les McKeown, Bay City Rollers promotional image.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
Nathan Evans discography
[edit]Hi there, Goodreg3, my name is Braylen Clay, and as a Nathan Evans fan, I want to thank you for creating a discography page for him. But may I ask, why couldn’t the U.S. chart be shown, why must it only be ten charts at most? Braylen Clay (talk) 03:12, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, and thank you for reaching out. I would say a discography page for Nathan Evans was long overdue. In regards as to why US chart listing should not be shown, it is not a case that they cannot be shown, however, there is not as many chart entries in the US as the others listed, and also, it abides by the recommendations laid out at Wikipedia:WikiProject Discographies/style which suggests ten chart entries in tables.
