Dead links
[edit]Hi Handsome Ellis, please don't remove citations just because the link doesn't work; see WP:Link rot for further guidance. I think your removal of the "model" claim was fine, but the removal of citations wasn't warranted.
I noticed you're removing "model" from many actors' bios; as long as this is based on sourcing and Wikipedia policies/guidelines, I think this is fine—but again, it doesn't necessarily mean that citations should be removed. Also, if you remove the occupation from the lead, please also remove it from the Infobox person templare. You may also be interested in reading MOS:BIOFIRSTSENTENCE and MOS:ROLEBIO.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, Wracking talk! 19:31, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Heeseung, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lakeside was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, I'm Paper9oll. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Heeseung, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page, which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thanks. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 18:19, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- How is it "disruptive editing" when I explained my rationale? Front-facing photos are preferred for lead images e.g. Sarah Pidgeon's page. You should talk to me properly instead of doing this. Even if it's not intentional, it feels like power-tripping to insist someone is disrupting a page even though I'm one of its major editors. Handsome Ellis (talk) 18:24, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- Both the previous lead image and mine are screenshots from the exact same video. I simply chose the biggest possible size for my screenshot and sharpened it with a graphics software, which is not forbidden. Calling it disruptive is a stretch and insult. Handsome Ellis (talk) 18:25, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- WP:HIIQ is not a WP:P&G. Also, your explanation for why this does not fall under MOS:AIUPSCALE is unconvincing, the technical details do not support your conclusion. Your statement, "
I simply chose the biggest possible size for my screenshot
", further highlights the inconsistency in your explanation. I have participated in enough similar discussions to recognize attempts to sidestep the issue, and I am not interested in further semantic arguments about why this supposedly is not AI upscaling, whether it is characterized as Photoshopping or given some other label deemed more convenient. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 18:32, 25 July 2026 (UTC)- Are you serious right now? I chose the biggest possible size as in I opened the video in 4K quality and screencapped it on my Mac desktop, slightly increased the size, and sharpened it on Photoshop. I can screen-record the whole process for you. So much hostility over nothing is wild. Show me WHERE in my explanation above I gave "inconsistent" details. I said I chose a big size for my screenshot and sharpened it in a graphics software (PS). That is consistent with EVERYTHING I've said. Handsome Ellis (talk) 18:39, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- Photoshop predates generative AI by decades. I can even show you what SynthID says. I have zero history of actual disruptive or bad-faith editing and I even replaced Chanty's actually AI-enhanced photo with a non-AI one. I don't know what it is about editing Wikipedia for a long time that gives people this attitude, but I hope I avoid it. Handsome Ellis (talk) 18:40, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- The issue is not whether Photoshop predates generative AI, whether SynthID detects a Google AI watermark, or whether you have previously edited in good faith. Photoshop now includes generative AI features, and a negative SynthID result does not establish that an image was not enlarged, sharpened, or otherwise processed. I am using a 5K display, and opening the video in 4K does not explain how an cropped image could have been "slightly increased in size" magically without upscaling. A screen recording is unnecessary, as your own description already confirms that the image was enlarged and sharpened which falls under MOS:AIUPSCALE. Reframing the issue as hostility or relying on unrelated points about your editing history does not address the technical concern. For reference, 4K resolution and other reliable sources on 4K resolution explain the relevant resolution limits and contradict the claim, "
I opened the video in 4K quality and screencapped it on my Mac desktop, slightly increased the size
". — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 19:00, 25 July 2026 (UTC)- A 4K video produces large frames, Pa9erdoll. None of this is magic.
- https://streamable.com/mudbe7
- There you go. Not an exact match but it's all so easy to do in just a few minutes. NON-AI slight size increase, a brightening layer, a bit of blur, and sharpening. No AI upscaling in sight.
- I am genuinely baffled by your behaviour right now. The implication that making a pic bigger must be AI is... wow. That has been achievable through even rudimentary photo editing apps like PicsArt over a decade ago. Handsome Ellis (talk) 19:02, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- I have repeatedly said YES, I did sharpen it and that's not forbidden. No step in my process is AI. This is very, very basic photo adjustment that even Getty Images and other professional photographers do. If you have such a problem with it, why not ASK ME to re-upload the raw screenshot rather than jumping to calling me a liar? Handsome Ellis (talk) 19:03, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- I really hope you're either a kid who has never known a world without gen AI or like a really old Gen X/Boomer unfamiliar with graphics software because saying that sharpening = "confirmed AI upscaling" is one of the most baffling claims I've heard in a while, as a graphic design student. That is simply false and incorrect. Handsome Ellis (talk) 19:12, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- Please review WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. Given the direction the discussion has taken and the personal remarks that have been introduced, I do not see a productive basis for continuing it. For clarity, this remains a WP:BRD content discussion, and original images are available that meet MOS:IMAGELEAD. WP:HIIQ is not a WP:P&G, whereas WP:BLP and MOS:IMAGE are the applicable policies and guidelines. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 19:27, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
- Saying that your claims are baffling does not violate WP:CIVIL. Your insistence that I am lying and refusal to take accountability even after I showed proof that my image was not AI-upscaled is the reason that this conversation is "not productive." Good luck with everything. Handsome Ellis (talk) 19:30, 25 July 2026 (UTC)

Completely incorrect aspersions, and it is not a personal remark or uncivil for me to call you out on this. But like I said, good luck with everything if you insist you've said and done nothing that crosses the line. Handsome Ellis (talk) 19:31, 25 July 2026 (UTC)

Ways to improve Hulog
[edit]Hello, Handsome Ellis,
Thank you for creating Hulog.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Please update the article to indicate the subject's notability, per the WP:NMUSIC guidelines. Has the song charted, or won a significant award?
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with Bastun. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 12:07, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, Bastun. Charting and awards are not, and have never been, requirements for notability. They boost notability, but a non-charting song can absolutely have notability if they meet these most basic requirements:
Songs and singles are probably notable if they have received significant coverage as the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works whose sources are independent of the artist and label.
(Emphasis mine) - I removed the banner. Most of the sources in the "Hulog" article have "Generally reliable" consensus. The Philippine Daily Inquirer is the Philippines' newspaper of record. &Asian, ABS-CBN (publisher of One Music Philippines), the Daily Tribune, GMA News, etc. are all reliable sources that have no affiliation with Sony. This is more than sufficient.
Of course the article can be improved, which is why I rated it Start-class, but that doesn't mean the banner is justified. :) Handsome Ellis (talk) 17:57, 30 July 2026 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Hara (group) (August 2)
[edit]
- evidence that the subject meets any of the specific criteria for music;
or multiple published secondary sources that:
- provide significant coverage: discuss the subject in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
- are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
- are independent: not connected to the subject, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
It is often easier to prove the notability of an album or artist than an individual song or band member. If the subject is not yet notable, consider improving a relevant existing article instead.Next steps
- Edit Draft:Hara (group) to address the points above, making sure to publish any changes.
- When you are ready to resubmit your draft for review, click the Resubmit button.

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Gian Bernardino. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (Gian Bernardino), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Avoid long edit summaries
[edit]Hi, Just regarding your edit summaries:
'Please afford this man, who is already dead, the tiniest shred of dignity. Custer did not say she didn't believe whole "claims" about his life; she wrote that she didn't believe "exact details" and wrote of the odd "possible embellishment." Even in his Personal life section, why feel the need to misrepresent the words of someone who knew him to emphasise his alleged lying again?' 1
and
'Even if you consider this a "claim" and don't believe it, his friend saying that he had completed the runs with photos should be noted as a part of the other perspective. Grove questioned the idea of Arday completing ANY of the runs. There are several reports saying he completed one run, then 24, then his friend saying he completed all 30. At least one of these reports needs to be noted for neutrality. It is not in wikivoice, but attributed to Carney.' 2
one recommendation is:
- 'Avoid long summaries. WP:SUMMARYNO Edit summaries are not for explaining every detail, writing essays about "the truth", or long-winded arguments with fellow editors. For discussions, you should use the talk page.' 3
On your user page, you imply seven times that you get into disputes with other editors and I, of course, have seen this myself. You are also conscious that your youth and inexperience puts you at a disdvantage. However, you clearly have some time on your hands and what I would suggest is that you would enjoy editing Wikipedia more if you took a full day to go through the most generally applicable Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Even when they are unofficial 'best practice', they are drawn from experience of what works. They are mostly linked to each other. One enjoys activities more when one is good at it, it would reduce pushback from other editors to your edits and it would level the playing field with older and more experienced editors.
This is friendly advice, for your benefit. Jontel (talk) 12:40, 22 August 2026 (UTC)

Inappropriate edit summary
[edit]
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Special:Diff/1377786029 has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Please keep edit summaries focused on the content dispute and avoid comments such as “adding this is fucking weird.” 2x2x2x2x2 (talk) 03:33, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
