Question from FlorDasAguas (19:02, 15 August 2026)
[edit]Hello. I’m totally unfamiliar with Wikipedia as far as creating my own description of who I am I have looked up other people, but when I look up myself, I have no page. How do I do this? --FlorDasAguas (talk) 19:02, 15 August 2026 (UTC)
- To create a page about yourself, you need to read the guidelines at WP:COI and WP:NBIO. If you pass the notability guidelines, you can then create a draft using the article wizard. PeriodicEditor (talk) 04:28, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
Question from GlammySammy

[edit]How can I Approve a draft? 🤔🤐😣🙄😏 --GlammySammy (talk) 21:25, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
- You can move it to mainspace, however, it will be checked at NPP, where it will get either draftified or deleted if it isn't sourced. PeriodicEditor (talk) 03:58, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
- How can I Move Pages to Mainspace??? GlammySammy (talk) 09:00, 17 August 2026 (UTC)
- With the button that says move in the toolbar. However, if you try and move Draft:Surprise and Seek, it will most likely be deleted/draftified by an NPP patroller. PeriodicEditor (talk) 20:07, 17 August 2026 (UTC)

Question from GlammySammy (00:28, 18 August 2026)
[edit]i want to Know How to Find sources. --GlammySammy (talk) 00:28, 18 August 2026 (UTC)
- I would suggest finding 3 sources that are independent, reliable and have significant coverage before starting the article, and if you can't find 3, it probably isn't notable. In addition, I would suggest reading the relevant notability guidelines and WP:GNG. Once you have found those 3, you can the begin writing the article and can add more sources. [edit]Can you Help me find Sources for my Drafts Draft:SpongeBob in Iran (franchise) and Draft:SpongeBob in Tehran? 🤔😂😮😧🤐😣🙄 --GlammySammy (talk) 03:59, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- They both appear to be the same article, so you don't need both, when they are published a redirect will be created. PeriodicEditor (talk) 05:04, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not sure sufficient reliable sources exist to write an article. PeriodicEditor (talk) 05:06, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- The Former article is about The Franchise in General, The Latter Article is About the First Film, see the Latter article here. GlammySammy (talk) 05:12, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- They should both be merged probably. PeriodicEditor (talk) 05:19, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- Merging the Articles does not Make Sense, as there are Multiple movies in the Series, as Stated in the article. GlammySammy (talk) 05:23, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- All of the movies should probably be covered in one article. PeriodicEditor (talk) 05:40, 19 August 2026 (UTC)

AfC August Backlog Drive: Only ten days left!
[edit]
Hi PeriodicEditor, thanks for participating in the Articles for Creation August Backlog Drive! We've done amazing work so far, dropping the backlog by more than 3000 drafts already. We have around 1300 drafts outstanding, and we need your help to get that down to zero in the next 10 days. We can do this, but we need all hands on deck to help make it happen – if everyone who signed up to the drive reviewed just 1–2 drafts a day for the next ten days, we'd be down to zero in no time! A list of the pending drafts can be found at WP:AFCSORT, where you can select submissions in your area of interest, or you can find a random submission here. Thank you so much for your work so far, and happy reviewing! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:20, 21 August 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, how can one get recommended edits of articles in languages other than English? Does one have to go, for instance, to de.wikipedia.org to receive recommended edits of German articles or can it be changed in the settings? In the initial survey I included 4 languages besides English, but all recommended articles I got so far were in English. --Henry-Nobody (talk) 13:33, 23 August 2026 (UTC)
- I don't know how the other wikis do it but to see recommended german articles I think you need to be on de.wikipedia.org, although I'm not certain as I only edit here. PeriodicEditor (talk) 09:13, 25 August 2026 (UTC)

- Which citation template? PeriodicEditor (talk) 18:52, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- The citation template in the RefToolbar, specifically the {{cite web}} template.
- Thanks. CatWithAKeyboard (talk) 19:26, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- This is what each of the major boxes does:
- Last name: Last name of author
- First name: First name of author
- Title: Title of the source
- URL: URL of the source
- Website name: What website the source is on
- Publisher: Who published the source
- Access date: When you looked at the source
- Ref name: Allows you to give a ref a name so it can be reused
- The other boxes are more complex and less useful. Hope this helps. PeriodicEditor (talk) 19:33, 31 August 2026 (UTC)

Question from Jaywarlunaris (23:10, 4 September 2026)
[edit]AFRO LUNAR
AFRO LUNAR is a music concept and emerging genre developed around the fusion of African musical influences with contemporary global sounds, alongside themes of the moon, space, philosophy, emotion, spirituality, human experience, and self-discovery.
The term AFRO LUNAR was introduced and developed by Tanzanian musician Jay War (Lunaris) as a distinctive artistic and musical identity. The concept combines the word Afro, referring to African musical and cultural influences, with Lunar, referring to the moon and its symbolic association with reflection, mystery, transformation, imagination, and the wider universe.
Origin
AFRO LUNAR originated as an artistic concept created by Jay War (Lunaris). His vision was to create a flexible musical identity capable of incorporating different genres and sounds from Africa and around the world while maintaining a philosophical and emotionally driven identity.
Rather than being restricted to a single rhythm or production formula, AFRO LUNAR is intended as an open musical framework. Its sound may incorporate elements of Afrobeats, Afro House, Amapiano, R&B, Dancehall, Drill, Pop, Gospel, Melodic Rap, and other contemporary styles.
Musical Philosophy
The philosophy of AFRO LUNAR centers on the idea that music can connect African identity with universal human experiences. Recurring themes include love, peace, freedom, dreams, loneliness, hope, personal growth, spirituality, the human condition, and humanity's relationship with the universe.
The moon serves as a central symbol within the concept, representing light in darkness, change, mystery, reflection, and the continuous journey of human life.
Founder
Jay War (Lunaris) is credited by the project's own artistic history as the founder and originator of the AFRO LUNAR concept. He has developed AFRO LUNAR as part of his broader musical identity and vision of creating an internationally recognizable sound rooted in African creativity while remaining open to global mu --Jaywarlunaris (talk) 23:10, 4 September 2026 (UTC)

Question from FactFinder1967
[edit]Hey Im currently working on a wikipedia page for a large multi-sport club in Germany, you have nominated it for deletion? I am working on sources and I just started editing this article today.. please leave it alone and allow me to work, I find it unfair that as im working on it you are nominating it for deletion FactFinder1967 (talk) 07:41, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hi, sorry I nominated it for deletion as I was unable to find any reliable sources, in future I would suggest creating it in draft space where it can be developed and once it's ready it can then be moved to main space. You can comment at the AfD discussion and continue editing, as if the article is improved, it likely won't result in deletion. PeriodicEditor (talk) 15:47, 14 September 2026 (UTC)
- ok thank you, I'll work on it on a draft space.
- Sorry for that, and thanks for the help! I appreciate it! :) FactFinder1967 (talk) 19:23, 14 September 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hi! I’m planning to prepare a draft article about the company I work for.
I understand that this creates a conflict of interest, so I want to handle the process correctly and transparently. My plan is to disclose my employment on my user page, create the article as a draft, and submit it through Articles for Creation for independent review.
Before I start, could you let me know if you would recommend any additional steps or a specific way to disclose the conflict of interest? --Plainatlas (talk) 08:29, 14 September 2026 (UTC)

[edit]GEOFREY KAMANYI: A Life of Education, Creativity and Ambition
KAMPALA, UGANDA — Geofrey Kamanyi is a Ugandan individual whose life story reflects a journey through education, creative studies, business administration and professional development.
Born on 20 December 1997 in Kinoni Village, Uganda, Kamanyi grew up in a family of five children. He has three brothers and one sister: Segonja Pius, Seruwo Alex, Byayesu Steven, and Kobusingye Aisha. His mother is Nakasirye Madalena.
Education and Development
Kamanyi completed his secondary education in Uganda and continued developing his academic and professional skills. His educational background includes the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and earlier primary education culminating in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE).
His studies later expanded into creative and business fields. He obtained a Certificate in Fashion and Design from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Makerere University.
Creativity and Professional Ambition
Fashion and design became one part of Kamanyi's broader interests, while his business-administration education provided a foundation for understanding entrepreneurship, management and organizational development.
His professional journey has also included experience in the security sector, where he worked for approximately three years with an SG security company as a supervisor. This experience contributed to his development in responsibility, leadership and workplace management.
A Continuing Journey
Kamanyi's story represents an ongoing journey rather than a finished chapter. His background combines academic education, vocational training, professional experience and personal ambition.
From his beginnings in Kinoni Village to pursuing higher education and professional opportunities, his life illustrates the importance of continued learning and personal development.
Note: This biography is based on information provided for the purpose of creating a personal biographical article. Independent publications and verifiable third-party sources would be needed for a formal encyclopedia entry. Geofrey kamanyi (talk) 05:20, 18 September 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I'm not too active as far as being logged in. I am mostly interested in cars and really only feel the need to edit inaccuracies as I see them, my only question is about the best way to hyperlink my sources. --MrIntern (talk) 03:01, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
- You should use ref tags, with visual editor you should use the button that looks like a “, which should open a menu to add a citation to the article. Hope this helps. PeriodicEditor (talk) 03:50, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
One of my suggestions was to update the citations in this article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Transportation_in_the_United_States&gesuggestededit=1#cite_note-5
Citation 5 can be very easily updated but I just want to know what the ethics of taking sources from similar articles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_motor_vehicle_production#cite_note-2 is a good recent legitimate seeming source that corroborates the articles claim. Is it ethical to use the same citation and is it ethical to use the same access date? --MrIntern (talk) 03:14, 25 September 2026 (UTC)
- You should use the access date of when you accessed it, not the original and in your edit description say what article it came from, but if you do that its perfectly fine. PeriodicEditor (talk) 03:51, 25 September 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ssenachess (10:46, 8 October 2026)
[edit]Hello! I am a new editor and I would like guidance on setting up a biography draft for Ugandan chess player Ssenabulya Sharif.
Because I am writing about myself, I want to make sure I strictly follow Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest (COI) policies. I have prepared draft text with reliable secondary news references (PML Daily, Kenya Chess Masala, ChimpReports) and official FIDE profile links. Hello! I am a new editor and I need guidance on setting up a biography draft for Ugandan chess player Ssenabulya Sharif.
Because I am writing about myself, I want to follow Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest (COI) policies. Could you check if these reliable news references meet Wikipedia's notability criteria, or help me put this together in my sandbox?

Could you please guide me on how to set up my sandbox or review the draft to see if it meets Wikipedia's notability requirements? Thank you! --Ssenachess (talk) 10:46, 8 October 2026 (UTC)

Question from Rokaimaster1 (06:58, 11 October 2026)
[edit]Hi. I was wondering what counts as "good" cited sources. I know that there are sources from the actual person (i.e. persons' x/twitter account) or a website that is interviewing the person or media. But what about youtube videos that are from the person. (i.e. Pewdiepie announces something on his Youtube). Does this count as a source? Also, what about albums from an artist from a tv show or movie? Do sourcing from their official Youtube account count? Thanks. --Rokaimaster1 (talk) 06:58, 11 October 2026 (UTC)
- Generally secondary sources should be used, so sources from the person, such as videos or social media, should only be used according to WP:PRIMARY. PeriodicEditor (talk) 04:49, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
