Fram bringing up another a deletion request for the same article for the second time
[edit]Hello Ryan Shell. I would just like to bring up what Fram did to my article List of quadrangles on Europa. He nominated the article for deletion again for the second time 3 month after the article was accepted as notable.
This user keeps on nominating articles for deletion everywhere without suggesting improvements first. Thanks you and best regards. IapetusCallistus (talk) 14:26, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
- Hello! I voted in the deletion discussion to keep or at least merge. I agree with you that Fram is misrepresenting or misunderstanding the list if they think of it as a "semi-random list of rectangles". That being said, I think the thing to do is to prove notability, see WP:NASTRO. I don't think that it's been proven to already be notable, though. Also, if you think Fram is being especially problematic for you, then consider WP:ANI. Personally, I don't know if I see evidence of hostility. I mostly encounter your articles as a new page patroller, so I am pretty far removed from the subject matter. Have a good day!

DYK for Sparidentex hasta
[edit]
On 11 May 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sparidentex hasta, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the sobaity seabream (example pictured) is reserved for special occasions in the Persian Gulf region? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sparidentex hasta. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Sparidentex hasta), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

May backlog drive
An article-only backlog drive is currently underway. We are hoping to make a big dent in the backlog. You can read more about it or join at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Backlog drives/May 2026.
PageTriage
An attempt was made to get the New Pages Feed to sort by date marked as reviewed instead of date created. However we had to revert it due to bugs. We may try again in the future. You can subscribe to the Phabricator ticket if you're interested in following along.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Page Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.

[edit]
Hello Ryan shell:
WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in August!

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

James Scott (captain) re-review
[edit]Hi there, I've been carrying out re-reviews for the backlog drive and noticed you marked James Scott (captain) as reviewed.
Reviewing the sources, I am not seeing any significant coverage. Admittedly I cannot review the first source, so please correct me if there is any information available but I find the notability quite shakey here on this basis. Additionally I noticed that the test in reference 3 is near identical to the other online sources, which suggests that these are just reproductions of the same source material.
Looking through subject specific notability I can't see anything else that would qualify the subject as notable without WP:NBIO being achieved, but thought perhaps you might have seen information that I've missed? sksatsuma 14:56, 21 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hello!
- I see what you mean. I assumed good faith about the first source and while I can find records of its existence, I'm also struggling to find online examples of the text. I don't have additional information, either. I try to patrol a couple hundred articles each month and- looking at my talk page- I miss the mark occasionally. Perhaps the articles fails WP:NBIO, after all? I hope the original author of the article will be more help Ryan shell (talk) 01:45, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah no worries that's fair enough, seems to be quite a grey area. Only flagging your review as courtesy on the re-reviews for the backlog drive, doubt I would've delved that deep into it otherwise. I'll leave a comment on the author's talk page to let them know there might be some notability concerns. sksatsuma 13:30, 24 September 2026 (UTC)
