Philips Studio article

| Nice work on the article about Philips Studios! It was (to my knowledge) one of two of the major recording studios in London that lacked their standalone wiki articles, the other being Regent Sound Studios on Denmark Street – VirreFriberg (talk) 21:15, 10 November 2025 (UTC) |
- You're welcome! It was my pleasure to get this done. synthfiend (talk) 21:32, 10 November 2025 (UTC)

Power Station (recording studio)
[edit]I see you've been changing a lot of wikilinks from 'Power Station (recording studio)' to 'Avatar Recording Studios'. However, the article linked to is named Power Station (recording studio). 'Avatar Recording Studios' is a redirect. Is it usual to prefer a redirect to a direct link? EddieHugh (talk) 22:01, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for asking. Yes, I recently created a new Redirect page and updated a bunch of WikiLinks to take advantage of it. In this case, the Redirect links directly to the "Avatar Studios (1996–2016)" section of the article, which is more correct. It also helps clarify what was recorded in which era of the studio (for instance, if someone clicks "What links here" on the Power Station (recording studio) article, the linked articles all appear grouped together by what they link to). Admittedly, the Avatar Studios section of the article does still need to be expanded to tell more of its own story, though. synthfiend (talk) 14:08, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
- ok, but if the intention is to take peopler to the "Avatar Studios (1996–2016)" section, wouldn't using Power Station (recording studio)#Avatar Studios (1996–2016) as the link be better? I don't know if it's browser-specific, but when I click on "Avatar Recording Studios" from Gardenias for Lady Day I get redirected to the top of the "Power Station (recording studio)" page, not the specific section. But, if no one else is commenting, it's probably fine. EddieHugh (talk) 22:20, 29 November 2025 (UTC)
