Your submission at Articles for creation: Terrell Groggins (October 7)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Moritoriko was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Many of the sources are not independent so they aren't part of the consideration of Notability
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Terrell Groggins. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Because autobiographies are considered to be a "conflict of interest", (COI). Moving forward you will need to stop editing the article directly and instead use the Edit Request Wizard to suggest requested changes. An unconnected, neutral editor (on the team the follows up on such requests) will review the edit requests and either make the changes (or not) based on their analysis. Here is a link to our COI guidelines and policies: WP:COI, and a link to use to access the Edit Request Wizard: WP:Edit_Request_Wizard/COI. The Wizard tool is very easy and straightforward to use. Thank you. Netherzone (talk) 15:14, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for disclosing your COI on your user page. Please do not edit while logged out. Netherzone (talk) 21:54, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. I will follow the guidelines and guidance. Happy Holidays ~2025-42290-44 (talk) 21:56, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, and happy holidays, solstice and new year to you as well. Netherzone (talk) 22:00, 23 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning re: not properly disclosing your COI/PAID status

[edit]

On Talk:Claressa Shields, you requested another editor to add content to promote your client without disclosing in your request your COI/PAID status per WP guidelines and policies. You are also making multiple lengthy edit requests on the Terrell Groggins article multiple times over without stating in your messages that you are a COI/PAID editor. Although it has been requested of you four times to use the Edit Request Wizard/COI you fail to do so. Netherzone (talk) 22:42, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the guidelines at WP:PAID on how to properly disclose. You must disclose who is paying you to edit for them. Netherzone (talk) 23:26, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I acknowledge the COI/PAID disclosure requirement under WP:PAID. I have now added a paid-editing disclosure to my user page identifying my client, Terrell Groggins, and will submit all future requests exclusively via the Edit Request (COI) process rather than editing directly.
Any previous omissions were procedural, not intentional. No further direct edits will be made by me to articles related to my client.
Please let me know if the disclosure language on my user page needs adjustment to fully comply with WP:PAID. VisualArchiveEditor (talk) 00:16, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, VisualArchiveEditor,
I have had to protect two pages because you created orphaned talk pages where there was no article. This leads to their deletion and so your activity is creating work for other editors. Please only comment on existing talk pages and do not create talk pages where there is no article first.
If you have questions about this, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:20, 24 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Liz,
Thank you for the clarification. I understand the issue regarding orphaned talk pages and appreciate you flagging it. I will ensure going forward that I only comment on existing talk pages tied to active articles and will avoid creating talk pages where no article exists.
I appreciate the guidance and will follow the recommended process.
Best,
VisualArchiveEditor VisualArchiveEditor (talk) 00:22, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Scope of editing and COI disclosure

[edit]

I am a paid editor working on behalf of Terrell Groggins.

In accordance with WP:PAID and WP:COI, I will not directly edit articles related to my client, including: Terrell Groggins Claressa Shields Media, photographs, exhibitions, or recognition directly connected to Groggins’ work

For those topics, I will use the Edit Request process on article talk pages and provide proposed text with independent, reliable sources for review by uninvolved editors.

Outside of these areas, I intend to contribute normally to Wikipedia by making good-faith edits on unrelated articles (copy-editing, sourcing, maintenance, and general content improvements), consistent with Wikipedia policies.

If there are questions about the scope of my COI or appropriate use of edit requests, I am happy to clarify. VisualArchiveEditor (talk) 00:20, 25 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request: Add 2024 award (World Sports Photography Awards)

[edit]

COI disclosure: I am a paid editor working on behalf of Terrell Groggins WP:PAID.

Requested change

Add a single, sourced entry to the Awards and honors section documenting the subject’s recognition by the World Sports Photography Awards.

Proposed text

2024: World Sports Photography Awards – Winner (Boxing category)."World Sports Photography Awards – Boxing category (2024)". World Sports Photography Awards. Retrieved 24 December 2025.

Rationale

The World Sports Photography Awards is an international annual competition established in 2020 that recognizes sports photography across multiple categories and is judged by professional photographers and editors. As with other photography awards already listed in the article (e.g., World Press Photo, International Photography Awards), this entry documents a verifiable professional honor and does not introduce interpretation or promotional language.

This request is limited to factual documentation of an award result supported by a reliable external source. Placement and final wording are left to editorial discretion.
