- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.

Disambiguation link notification for May 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Executive Order 14297, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Medicare. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Barbara Lee did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the Talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →
Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]
Hello Wi1-ch! Your additions to History of the Jews in Russia have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license—to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:31, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

You have two previous notices from Diannaa about copyright, yet you inserted COPYVIO at United States seizure of the oil tanker Skipper.[1] SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:21, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- This edit from 13 December also contains cut-and-paste copyvio. @Sennecaster and Moneytrees: SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:26, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Note on attribution
[edit]Hi @Wi1-ch. I'm just leaving a note regarding your recent edits to 2026 United States strikes in Venezuela, specifically this edit, taken from Nicolas Maduro (since changed, note page as of this edit as an example). made earlier today. As previously noted, you must provide proper attribution of material that is sourced verbatim from other locations, even if that source is another article on Wikipedia. You have two verified copyright violations from @Diannaa, and one accusation from @User:SandyGeorgia (who I might request provide clarification on the claim they made in December). As they have noted, persistent violation of this policy will resulting in your being blocked from editing. I strongly suggest that you avoid doing this again, as this makes for your 3rd violation, and I'm uncertain how much grace you have left. Best, CSGinger14 (talk) 04:27, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
- CSGinger14 my apologies that my diffs were a mess--not sure what happened, but my personal life has been such that I'm always in a hurry of late. These are the two issues I referenced above:
- I don't have the tools to see hidden edits. Wi1-ch's copyvio that was revdel'd at United States blockade during Operation Southern Spear can be seen in their oversighted edits on 13 December between 22:18 and 22:20
- 13 December -- here's one sample:
- Source Khan, 55, was sentenced to 15 years in jail in absentia, while eight ICC staff, including the former court president Piotr Hofmanski, received prison terms ranging from 3.5 to 15 years.
- Edit: ... sentenced Karim Khan to 15 years imprisonment in absentia, while eight ICC staff, including the former court president Piotr Hofmanski, were sentenced in absentia prison terms ranging from 3.5 to 15 years.
- As I recall, there was more. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:00, 5 January 2026 (UTC)
