Beta Volantis, of β Vol, is die helderste ster in die suidelike sterrebeeld Vlieënde Vis (Volans). Dit het ’n skynbare magnitude van 3,75[3] en kan dus met die blote oog gesien word. Volgens parallaksmetings is dit sowat 107,5 ligjare van die Son af; dit beweeg weg teen ’n radiale snelheid van 27 km/s.[8]
Dit is ’n oranje enkelster[9] met ’n sterreklassifikasie van K2 III,[1] wat aandui dit is ’n geëvolueerde K-tipe reusester. Dit is ’n rooiklontster,[10] wat beteken dit lê op die horisontale tak en verbrand helium in sy kern. Beta Volantis se massa is sowat 1,6 keer dié van die Son,[5] maar sy ligsterkte is 41 keer die Son s’n. Die effektiewe temperatuur van sy vergrote fotosfeer is 4 546 K.[5]
