Patricia Oren Kearney Cadigan (10 de setiembre de 1953, Schenectady) ye una escritora d'Estaos Xuníos de ciencia ficción. Foi llamada "la reina del ciberpunk" pola so implicación nos entamos d'esti movimientu lliterariu, y por ser la única muyer que participó na antoloxía seminal Mirrorshades.[4]

Biografía

Pat nació en Schenectady, Nueva York, y creció en Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Siguió la so educación na Universidá de Massachusetts y la Universidá de Kansas, graduándose en 1975. Cadigan trabayu como escritora de tarxetes. A finales de los años 1970 y entamu de los años 1980, Cadigan participó na edición de pequeñes revistes de la prensa como Shayol y Chacal. Animar a escribir de tiempu completu a partir de 1987. Ella emigró a Inglaterra en 1996.

Ganó un gran númberu de premios, incluyendo'l premiu Arthur C. Clarke en 1992 y 1995 poles sos noveles Synners y Fools. En 2013, el so rellatu The Girl-Thing Who Went Out for Sushi ganó'l premiu Hugo na so categoría.[5] En 2013 la escritora anunció que fuera diagnostica con cáncer.[6]
