Mastacembelus ophidium és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels mastacembèlids.
Descripció

[modifica]És un peix d'aigua dolça, demersal i de clima tropical (3°S-9°S).[2]
Distribució geogràfica
[modifica]Es troba a Àfrica: és un endemisme del llac Tanganyika.[2][4][5][6]
Observacions
[modifica]És inofensiu per als humans.[2]
