Legs and Boots on yhdysvaltalaisen laulaja-lauluntekijä Tori Amosin julkaisema livealbumien sarja vuodelta 2007. Amos äänitti ja julkaisi yhteensä 27 konserttia American Doll Posse -albumin kiertueelta syksyllä 2007. Ne julkaistiin digitaalisina latauksina. ^[1][2]

Sisältö

Legs Boots äänitettiin yhteensä 27 eri konsertissa American Doll Posse -albumin kiertueella Yhdysvalloissa ja Kanadassa syksyllä 2007.^[1][2] American Doll Posse on konseptialbumi, jolla Amos esiintyy viiden eri alter egon roolissa. Näistä yksi oli Amosin oma lavapersoona Tori, muut olivat keksittyjä hahmoja.^[3][4]

Amos käytti albumin hahmoja myös kiertueen konserteissa, hän esiintyi jokaisessa konsertissa osan aikaa jonkin keksityn hahmon roolissa.^[5][6] Amos esiintyi jonain alter egoista 5–8 kappaleeen ajan konsertin alussa. Tämän jälkeen yhtye soitti kappaleen ”Professional Widow” instrumentaalisesti. Amos esitti lopun show’n oma itsenään.^[6][7] Albumien kansikuvissa on esityksessä käytetty alter ego.

Jokaisessa livealbumissa on eri kappalelista. Useissa on mukana improvisaatioita. Amos esittää kappaleita kaikilta vuoteen 2007 mennessä julkaistuilta albumeilta, mutta pääpaino on albumilla American Doll Posse. Vanhemmista kappaleista ”Cornflake Girl” on mukana kaikissa ja ”Hey Jupiter” lähes kaikissa konserteissa. Amos esittää osan kappaleista yhtyeensä kanssa ja osan soolona pianolla.^[8]

Julkaisu

Jokainen konsertti julkaistiin erikseen digitaalisina latauksina, aluksi vain Yhdysvalloissa sivustolla toribootlegs.com. Nimestä huolimatta Legs and Boots -julkaisut eivät bootlegeja vaan levy-yhtiön virallisia julkaisuja. Ne olivat useimmiten ladattavissa jo muutama tunti konsertin jälkeen.^[6][9][10]

Livealbumit julkaistiin iTunesissa ja useilla muilla kansainvälisillä sivustoilla kesällä 2008.^[11][12] Ne on sittemmin julkaistu myös suoratoistopalveluissa.^[13]
