Conceptus sive conceptum (a conceptione) est embryo, res annexae, et membranae consociatae, exitus conceptionis. Omnes comprehendit structuras quae ex zygoto pariuntur, et embryonicas et extraembryonicas; amplectitur praeterea embryonem atque embryonicam placentae partem membranasque consociatas: amnion, chorion (saccum gestationalem), et vas umbilicum.
