Scolopendra cingulata[1][2] est species chilopodorum,[3] et "frequentissima scolopendromorphorum species in regione mediterranea."[4][5]

Forcipulae videntur in inferiori Scolopendrae cingulatae parte.

Speciei sunt alternantes colorum nigri et flavo-aurei fasciae.[6] A 10 ad 15 centimetra longa crescit, una e minimis familiae Scolopendridarum species. Eius venenum aliis scolopendromorphis minus venenosum est.[2]

Haec species per Europam meridianam et circa Mare Mediterraneum late in Portugallia, Hispania, Francia, Italia, Graecia, regionibusque Africae Septentrionalis distribuitur.[2]

Scolopendra cingulata est animal defodens, quod locos obscuros umidosque habitat, sicut loci sub stipitibus et in detritu foliorum.[2]

Scolopendra cingulata vim paene omni animali se non maius infert, inter quae insecta et lacertidae parvae.[2]
