Absheron Economic Region

Absheron Economic Region is in the eastern part of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It includes Baku and Sumgait cities, the administrative regions of Absheron and Khizi districts.

Due to the huge oil-gas reserve of the region, Absheron Economic Region is mainly specialized in oil-gas production and relevant areas such as petrochemistry and chemistry.[1][2]
