Alan Zweibel

Alan Zweibel (born May 20, 1950[1]) is an American producer and writer. He was one of the original writers on Saturday Night Live.[2] He and Garry Shandling were the co-creators of Showtime's It's Garry Shandling's Show.[3] Zweibel was born to a Jewish family in Brooklyn and grew up in suburbs of Wantagh and Woodmere on Long Island. Zweibel graduated from George W. Hewlett High School and the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.[2] In 2006, Zweibel won the Thurber Prize for American Humor for his book The Other Shulman.[4]
