"It's Like That" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey. It was released on April 12, 2005, as the first single from her ninth studio album, The Emancipation of Mimi.[1] It samples "Hollis Groove (Kush Groove 2)" by Run-D.M.C., "This Is My Night" by Chaka Khan, and "La Di Da Di" by Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick.[2]

The song reached the top five in the UK and the top 20 in the US, where it was her best-charting solo single in almost four years, after "Loverboy" (2001).[3] It was certified gold in the US for shipping over 500,000 copies.[1]
