Maffick LLC is a digital media company based in Los Angeles, California. It has been labelled a Russian-backed entity due to its connections to Maffick Media GmbH, which was owned by RT.[1]
According to CNN, Maffick "videos are generally critical of U.S. foreign policy and the mainstream American media, while largely avoiding criticism of the Russian government."[3] Its content is aimed at American millennials.[4]
The company runs three main brands: In the Now (ITN), Wasted-ED, and Soapbox.[5] By mid-2018, In The Now had three million likes on Facebook;[6] by mid-2020, it had five million followers.[7][8]
