[edit]

Could you add 250k donated to stop Gavin Newsom Recall in 2021. https://calmatters.org/politics/2021/07/newsom-recall-million-dollar-donors/

Should we mention the threats made by Trump against Soros?

If there are sources that are reliable, verifiable, independent, yes. -- Vicomte Guiy de Montfort L'Amaury 16:27, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Words are wind, and Trump is notorious for making empty legal threats. Wait for action. Comey suggests it could happen next week. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:29, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

There are only 3 photos of Soros, all of them in the 21st century. I'd like to see photos in (but perhaps not all) Early life and education, maybe the first few subsections of Financial career, Political involvement, and Political and economic views. Given his notability there should definitely be more photos from the earlier parts of his life. HKLionel TALK 17:21, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Article neutrality

[edit]

The paragraph beginning with "Soros supports progressive and liberal political causes" is in conflict with Wikipedia's principle of neutrality. It is indicated that Soros is an extremely do-gooder, each and any criticism of whom is "far-right" and "conspiracy". For the sake of the required neutrality this paragraph should be re-written without the show of any personal prominent political preference. ~2026-19374-1 (talk) 05:07, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

that's not what WP:NEUTRALITY means EvergreenFir (talk) 05:34, 10 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
This doesn't seem to make sense. He tends to support progressive political causes but his notability comes form the fact that he is a noted philanthropist. His political leanings and donations are relevant more to the fact that he has become a boogeyman to certain corners of the internet/media. I would advise you to read up on WP:NPOV for more information about how Wikipedia handles such content. Also, carefully read WP:BLP for polities regarding living or recently deceased persons. Neutrality means that we report the facts. If his critics are all far-right and their criticisms are conspiracy theories (which they are), then that is what we will report, whether you like it or not.
If you do not like it, my advice is to familiarize yourself with the facts. That may be uncomfortable, as I'm told they don't care about our feelings, but it's really quite the improvement over living in a fantasy world. ᛗᛁᛟᛚᚾᛁᚱPants Tell me all about it. 17:56, 20 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
