Confusing population numbers.

The article shows:

 Population (2011)[9]
• Nagpur Metro  2,405,665
• Estimate (2021)[10]  3,127,000
 ...
• Metro  2,497,870 .

How can the difference between the two "Metro" numbers be explained?
