About me

[edit]

After lurking for some years, I began actively editing Wikipedia in October 2017 after I began grad school. My most prolific editing occurred during the summer of 2018, when I was able to do lots of editing at work. I was on an informal wikibreak from May 2022 until June 2025 due to the rigors of dissertation writing. I announced my semi-retirement in 2023, but I'm now back. I used to frequent comics-related and NFL pages, but I am now more of a generalist, doing cleanup as needed and improving sources in articles. I am a history educator based in the Washington, D.C. area.

Some fun little facts about me:

I am distantly, yet not too distantly, related to several notable people. Stephen Hopkins is my 11x great-grandfather. John Adams and Brigham Young are third cousins of mine, while Timothy O. Howe and John Quincy Adams are fourth cousins. Alice Stone Blackwell is a fifth cousin. Ralph Waldo Emerson is a sixth cousin, after that I sort of stop counting.

Username meaning

[edit]

My username is my first initial combined with the Hebrew word Tzedek (justice), and my lucky number, 24.

Things created

According to XTools

and some other stuff too, obviously.

I'm very proud of the following 4 Good Articles that I've either created entirely or essentially completely rewritten.

I also enjoy improving film summaries from time to time, if they're not up to par. Some I've largely rewritten include
