Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Philip Green‎, you may be blocked from editing. Roxy, the dog. barcus 05:20, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Philip Green. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 07:49, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning

[edit]

You are edit warring to include inappropriate material in a WP:BLP and posting aggressive and insulting edit summaries[1] and templates, accusing another user of various ridiculous stuff. I did a double take when I saw this version: "inside his daughter"?? Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Anything like any of that again, and you will be blocked. Bishonen | talk 08:49, 19 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Sorry Bish but how is that edit summary aggressive? In what world can citing Wikipedia Policy to a user in an edit summary in order to avoid them from vandalising an article be considered aggressive? Physically assaulting someone is aggressive. Shouting verbal abuse and threatening someone's life is aggressive. This edit summary is not aggressive. Secondly, I thought I had written inside a relationship with his daughter, and I corrected the mistake once it was reverted. I think you need to start assuming some WP:GOODFAITH. --Donenne (talk) 09:03, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In a world where the user you called a vandal is just upholding wikipedia policy. Read WP:BLP again (ha), wp:vandal and wp:npa though I suspect you know them very well. -Roxy, the dog. barcus 09:58, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you didn't physically assault Roxy, you only implied he had hidden nefarious reasons for removing your BLP violation ("Just because you might know Phillip Green IRL")? That's obviously fine then. And you say "inside his daughter" was a typo for "inside a relationship with his daughter", which isn't even English. See, that I do not believe. AGF is not a suicide pact. Don't do it again. Bishonen | talk 10:15, 19 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]
English is not my first language though it is my preferred language for correspondence. Try using Hebrew. --Donenne (talk) 10:45, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Varför skulle jag använda hebreiska? Det här är ju engelska Wikipedia. Bishonen | talk 15:26, 19 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]
For the record, I do not know Green IRL. I cannot remember if I have edited this article, though it is quite possible. I have strong opinions about him. -Roxy, the dog. barcus 17:39, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Note the special rules for biographies

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have recently shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.  Bishonen | talk 10:18, 19 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Request reason:

State the personal attack made. Donenne (talk) 05:15, 29 December 2025 (UTC) Again, where is the personal attack? You will have to be more specific, the first diff shows an entire paragraph I had written and the second diff shows me adding in a Youtube clip that was relevant to the discussion and catering to alternate learning styles beyond just reading hence 'if reading isn't your thing for whatever reason'. Since when is inclusion rewarded with punishment? Donenne (talk) 05:30, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Since you are asking for it to be spelled out for any unblocking admin... "Apologies, my silly little cognitively-impaired pet goldfish needed some attention so I couldn't respond to this immediately. It's a coincidence indeed but his name actually sounds the same as your username, it's just spelt differently!" is a poorly veiled personal attack that is far less clever than you appear to think it is. As is suggesting that someone can't read rather than addressing the underlying concern. That's the last response you will get out of me as the blocking admin, it's up to another admin to assess your unblock request. Mfield (Oi!) 05:38, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
And what is the personal attack? I do indeed have a pet goldfish and they are indeed named 'Johnathan' and I affectionately referred to him as cognitively-handicapped as he is my pet, and needed attending to. Is 'Johnathan' not similar to 'Jon'? I felt it polite to let the user involved know why I had not replied to them in a timely manner and your interpretation of the second diff is well and truly off the mark. There seems to be an awful lot of bad-faith occurring on the part of yourself and a few other editors lately, and should it progress, I will be forced to circumvent it. Donenne (talk) 06:03, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I believe you know very well why you've been blocked. I think you were lucky to get away with a temporary block, and I'd suggest you sit this one out and think about what needs to change to avoid you getting blocked indef next. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:46, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have been blocked for an indefinite period of time

[edit]

As per the block log, "Being a net negative to the project. Inability to function in a collaborative environment." Simply put, you don't belong here. If you can't work with others using a basic level of civility, you are a net negative to the project. Wikipedia is a collaborative project, and as such, you have to be able to work with others. You seen to have such distain, bordering on hatred, of other human beings, and as such, you are incompatible with our goals here. Your responses in your request to be unblocked cemented that.
