Image:TBS_Pkl.gif listed for deletion

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:TBS_Pkl.gif has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. feydey 11:18, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by cutting its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Teen Murti (1984 film). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Do not make cut paste moves. Seek a consensus in the talk page. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 20:17, 9 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lahore 1947

The description in Lahore 1947 was a copy of that in this page, and therefore I have deleted the article. -- Hoary (talk) 07:19, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You have deleted the entire page without any notice. You should have folowed the process of Proposed Deletion (PROD). The text of the small description part which seems to have been taken from the link you have mentioned, could have been easily changed, had you mentioned Proposed Deletion (PROD). I had put a lot of time and effort into other parts of the article, which have been wasted. I request you to kindly provide the contents of the deleted article to me so that I could create a new page from it by changing the small description part. Robzz (talk) 12:38, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Hoary,
The text that you mentioning as copied is just a few lines. This text in description is just 1% of the total article. 99% of other work in this article had consumed many days and hours of my effort. If I have to create that article, it will take days of work. If it is restored for some time, I will change the description of the few lines (just 1%) which you is mentioning as copied. If that is not acceptable to you, you could just delete that particular text and restore the rest of the article which is genuine and correct. Kindly help me on this. Robzz (talk) 21:39, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Robzz, you should be working hard to argue that you shouldn't be blocked for violating WP:COPYRIGHT, not that a page containing copyright violations should be allowed to persist. --Yamla (talk) 21:49, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Yamla, I did not add that text which you are talking about. It was added by someone else. And nobody is getting blocked.Robzz (talk) 21:57, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, you have my unreserved apology for accusing you of doing so. --Yamla (talk) 22:03, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No problem at all. Take Care. Robzz (talk) 23:16, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Robzz, the immediate matter is now resolved (I think and hope); but for future reference: Wikipedia:Proposed deletion tells us that "PROD must only be used if no opposition to the deletion is expected". I could easily imagine opposition to the deletion. ¶ Yamla, an update on the deleted but later partially resuscitated page, FYI. -- Hoary (talk) 04:11, 13 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Gabru (November 20)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Yoshiman6464 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
WP:TOOSOON The film lacks a trailer or a poster. I would wait until these things come out.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Border 2 (film). While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments belong on the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and may respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. tony 16:02, 3 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
